Electron microscopes

一、	Electron microscope would just use by the microscope technician.
二、	Reservation Precautions：
	1.	Please reserve by the CGMH service reservation system(Operation manual is on the right side.)After print the Requisition,come to the microscope lab 2.We will arrange the service date after sample's process.Be aware that if your proposal is approved by CGMH,you don't need to stamp,and if not,you need proposal director's stamp and sign.
	2.	Please check your sample's condition that it is suitable with our facility.We will charge no matter what happened uneless facility malfunction.
	3.	The time for our facility is hourly rate.After finish the service,we will burn the data to the CD/DVD.We can't use USB flash drive.If your service has finished before you originally reserve,we still charge based on your reservation on the system.Please note that if you over 30 minutes more than you reserve, you need to charge a hour.
	4.	If you would like to cancel the reservation,please do it within 24 hours before your reservation start.We still charge if you don't.
	5.	Microscopy Core laboratory provide CD/DVD for users.User's data will save for 3 month.We will organize these irregularly.

三、	Term of use：
	Sample's conditon and requirement for electron microscopy
	1	Precaution for dealing with sample：
		i.	Sample：
			A.	Please come to our lab and get the fixation buffer.
			B.	Please let the sample in the fixation buffer at 4℃ and soon deliver to our lab.
			C.	Please pay attention to the directivity of the tissue.
		ii.	Sample's format:
			A.	Tissue：
				a.	TEM Sample：Size of the tissue is smaller than 2 x 2 x 2 mm³.
				b.	SEM Sample：Size of the tissue is smaller than 10 x 10 x 2 mm³.
				c.	As mentioned above, if your smaple is cornea and retina( including choroid and sclera), we need to check the directivity and the problem about retinal detachment.The thickness of the sample should be smaller than 2mm.
			B.	Cell：More than 10⁶ cells。
			C.	Prepare SEM Sample by yourself：
				a.	Sample's plane length and width should be smaller than diameter 2cm.Height should be higher than 2cm.
				b.	Sample's section length and width should be smaller than diameter 2cm.Height should be higher than 1cm.
				c.	Sample should be dry and non-voc volatile.
				d.	We reject the toxic,caustic,explosive,radioactive and magnetic sample and specimen.
			D.	Prepare SEM Sample by yourself：The diameter of sample is 3mm and thickness is 0.1mm.Thin area and the slice thickness is nearly 90mm.
